Date Caramel Porridge Bowl

Dates and Oats
Serves 1: Ingredients: 
  • 5 HCW pitted dates
  • Water
  • 1 Pinch sea salt (optional)
  • 1/4 cup HCW oats
  • Toppings (optional)
  • Soak the dates in hot water for 20 minutes (just enough water to cover them)
  • Drain the dates but retain the water in a small jug
  • Blend the dates in a blender or food processor, adding the retained water little by little until you reach the consistency of jam or thick honey.
  • Cook your oats as desired.
  • Add your oats to the blender with your date caramel and blend until you’re left with a creamy porridge.
  • Spoon into a bowl, add toppings of your choice and enjoy!
